Canna Coco Pebble mix is premium mix of Canna Coco professional and Canna Aqua Clay pebbles. This substrate is mixed at a perfect ratio of 60% Coco fibre and 40% clay pebble. Canna Coco Professional Plus is a first-rate coco product that is made using top-quality raw materials. It has the optimum structure and purity, while CANNA Aqua Clay Pebbles are made from special types of clay that have a low soluble salt content. You should always use a Coco specific nutrient solution with coco substrate such as Canna’s Coco A&B. 

Why does Coco require special nutrients?

Coco fibre being organic has a high Cation-Exchange Capacity (CEC). This basically means that coco fibre can ‘hold on’ to certain nutrients thus requiring these nutrients to be supplied in a special form that remains available to your plants. Due to these special characteristics in combination with the pre-buffering process, it is possible to to combine vegetative and flowering nutrients in one mix. It is then the medium and the plant itself that control which nutrients are released to the plant at the correct time. This means the grower does not have to worry about the correct time to switch from grow to bloom nutrients.
